Lost ball or out of bounds

Out of bounds is any area beyond the boundaries of the course or any part of the course marked with white posts. All of the ball must be out of bounds which is a line drawn between the two nearest posts.

If you lose a ball or it is out of bounds you must return to the place where you played the last shot, add one stoke to your score and play it again.

If you hit a ball and you’re unsure if you will find it or that it may be out of bounds hit a provisional ball. If you find your ball in play you must play it and pick up your provisional ball, if it is lost or out of bound continue play with your provisional ball.
