Sedlescombe Golf Club appear to have a budding Tiger Woods on its books in the form of a seven-year-old Italian talent.

Julien Paltrilleri, from Venice, is a fully-fledged junior member and has already earned himself a handicap of 29.

He and his family have paid three visits to the local club since July and will return during school holidays in 2007.

There is a real international flavour to Sedlescombe at present with visitors coming from Slovakia, Switzerland, France and Italy in the last few weeks.

The club's rise to continental prominence can be largely attributed to its three-day appearance on television channel CNN.
