Fair play to ladies

Ladies at the James Andrews School of Golf

Ladies from Sedlescombe Golf Club enjoyed the limelight when they appeared on Meridian News. They were filmed as part of a feature in the wake of the Government's announcement that golf clubs should treat lady members the same as men. The ladies' section at Sedlescombe has enjoyed these rights for some time with its members allowed to enter the men's competitions on Saturdays - something that hasn't always been the case with many clubs up and down the country.

Managing director James Andrews was determined that Sedlescombe should pioneer fair play to ladies, many of whom can only play at weekends.

Cassie and Lynn Galloway pictured above both learned to play golf at the James Andrews School of Golf.
