“James Andrews’ aim was to make golf coaching more readily available to the average golfer – not just the elite player.”
15 years ago the James Andrews School of Golf set out to create an environment where people of all ages and abilities could learn to become better golfers, from newcomers looking for the confidence to step out onto a golf course for the first time to more seasoned players looking to lower their handicaps.
James’ structured coaching techniques have since been passed down to the 10 PGA professionals now based at the School allowing him to take the occasional step back from the day to day coaching and focus on creating a totally unique golfing experience, unlike one found anywhere else.
Based in the heart of historic 1066 country this independently run, purpose built teaching facility prides itself on providing a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere in which all levels of player can develop their golf. Tuition courses at the school range from 2 to 5 days (2 day schools have the choice of full or half days) and maximum group sizes of 4 per professional ensures students don’t get lost in the crowd.
Over the last few years the school has grown and gained international recognition with visitors from all over the world; CNN have sent film crews to the school and Today’s Golfer magazine voted the James Andrews School of Golf “The UK’s leading residential golf school”.
With all the success in recent years James has taken a modest approach by maintaining the simple ethos which the school originally set out to achieve – to help the average golfer improve their golf, whatever their age or ability.
