"Apart from a few 20 minute lessons at the odd club, this was the first serious coaching my wife and I (complete beginners) have attended and have just returned home tired but wondering if we should play a quick 9-holes at our local club to show off our new skills!

We have learned a huge amount, both about golf and the positions the human body can achieve without permanent damage. We have enjoyed a team of coaches that not only have a great deal of experience but very well defined senses of humour - which may be the only thing that keeps them sane when having to deal with the vast amount of hackers like us that the school tolerates!

We have found out that 3 x 4 hours of coaching is not something that should be approached lightly - this was definitely not a holiday! We now both understand why the more experienced students and coaches had that knowing look when my wife and I started out on 18 holes after a full morning session. Thank God for the extensive whisky menu at the clubhouse!
   
I have had to think long and hard about what to say about the Bar and restaurant manager, and when you come to the school you will find out why. I believe he is a recent addition to the staff at the school and I feel whoever made the appointment showed foresight and wisdom above all others.

The bar and restaurant manager was omnipresent during our stay and used his vast hospitality experience together with his well measured charisma to figure out what pressed the guests' buttons, using this information to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for all. He insulted me at every possible opportunity (which was returned in spades) and at the same time made me feel that I was the only first-class guest there. He turned any problem into an opportunity to improve the service and made the whole experience of the school complete.

Finally, I must congratulate the members of the club for their patience and tolerance of the invading hoards that take over their club on a daily basis. I did not hear one moan or groan about not being able to get on a bay, or get a tee the whole time I was there.

Will we be back - Yes!!  (but probably under assumed names!)

"On behalf of Chris and myself, I would like to thank each and every one of you at both the hotel and the golf school for making our stay so memorable (to think I wanted to go to the Barbados for our 30th Wedding anniversary)

The rooms in the Hotel are as good if not better then any Hotel I have stayed in around the world and I have stayed in a lot of Hotels in my time.

The staff in the club house could not have been nicer and the service was at all times top class, and the food was excellent

A special thank you must go to (the food and beverages manager) for the wonderful dinner he prepared for our 30th anniversary, Chris is still taking about it, I am sure that under his guidance the club house and restaurant will get the recognition it deserves.

As for the Golf school well I do have a couple of points-:

The video system, I can not bend my body like Tiger Woods or Michelle Wie no matter how much I try, I am sure that somewhere in the world they has to be a 100 year old golf pro that I can be compared to, (well I felt that old by the end of the day).

As for (our pro)(it’s a good swing BUT) what can I say, he made the instruction fun and informative, I can not think of a time when both Chris and I have laughed so much when we being told that it was good BUT, by the way he still owes me a large G&T for hitting the tee peg 3 times.

David can you please pass on our thanks to every one for making our stay so enjoyable, you will be seeing us again, provided you get some cushions for the chairs I had to keep drinking Gin to kill the pain in my ****.

I thought the course was excellent - Our Instructor was very structured and methodical in his coaching. I also found the staff customer service to be excellent, along with the accommodation and the food. I look forward to attending again.

The whole experience was fantastic. The Instructor was very good coach and took time to explain all of the finer details of the swing and shot making skills. I feel i can only improve with the advances i have made over the 2 days. Excellent.

All the staff (bar, shop, etc) were brilliant and the service was superb. The accommodation was very good and the food was superb.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the school and will definately be making a return trip.

Just wanted to reply to your message to say thank you very much for the 2 days we spent at Sedlescombe Golf Club. Every aspect of the 2 days by far exceeded my expectations, the whole stay there was absolutely fantastic and I do feel that my Golf game will improve significantly due to the acadamy. I thought our professional was an excellent instructor over the duration of the course and everyone else at the club was incredibly helpful and welcoming.

I have no doubt that myself and Mark will be back again later this year and only hope that we haven't slipped back into to many of our old bad habbits !
